Consulting engineer and asset manager Parkman Group this week added a school inspection business to its range of services.
Parkman, which floated last summer, has acquired Full Circle for £400,000. Full Circle provides primary school inspection services to Ofsted, the Department for Education and Skills' inspection service.

The purchase is the group's second since its flotation; it has also bought a housing consultant. Parkman said it would use proceeds from the flotation to expand. The group said the acquisition built on its education activities, which include school design, asset management and PFI advisory services.

Executive chairman Richard Archer said: "This fits in well with our strategy for expansion in growing sectors and will enable Parkman to provide an even wider range of services to its clients in the education sector."

Aside from education, Parkman operates in the property, housing, transport and highways sectors. It has 1100 staff and 21 offices in the UK and Ireland.
