Fifteen-year veteran at the firm will report to chief exec Nick Pollard

Bovis Lend Lease has appointed Peter Varga as its UK head of operations.

Varga will 'drive operations excellence' across all seven of the firm's business units, which include the UK South and North divisions along with Scotland, defence and the athletes' village unit set up to build the accommodation for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

A 15-year veteran at the firm, Varga will report to chief executive Nick Pollard. His stints at the business include being in charge of its North business before he handed over to Tony Lenehan last year.

A company spokeswoman said: “Peter's appointment will complement the drive to improve planning, cost planning and design management skills and will be focusing on the project review process across the UK business.”
