PR guru joins Heyne Tillett Steel as consultant’s first non-exec

The founder of PR agency ING Media has joined engineering consultant Heyne Tillett Steel as its first non-executive director.

Leanne Tritton formally joins HTS today (Thursday) but has been providing advice to the 20-year-old firm since last month.

Tritton stepped down from day-to-day running of London-based ING, which specialises in the built environment and was set up in 1999, three years ago and has recently concentrated on the Don’t Waste Buildings initiative and is chair of the built environment and architecture forum, the London Society.

She said: “I have known HTS since their early days and was always impressed by their drive and energy. I have watched from a distance as the practice has grown into a leader in its field and is now a substantial employee-owned business.”

HTS founding director Tom Steel added: “Leanne’s wealth of knowledge and independent perspective will be invaluable in shaping our strategic direction. She shares many of the values we hold as a practice and will be a brilliant ambassador.”
