Dr David Colin-Thomé takes over as chair of Partnerships for Health.

Dr David Colin-Thomé has been appointed chair of Partnerships for Health, the body responsible for NHS LIFT.

Colin-Thomé was previously the chair of the Department of Health Primary Care Policy Group. He will continue to spend two days a week as a GP in Runcorn.

Colin-Thomé said of his appointment: “I was delighted to accept the Chair of Partnerships for Health because I believe LIFT has all the ingredients to be a catalyst for change – a change for the better.”

PfH Chief Executive, Brian Johns said: “Strong clinical leadership is crucial to the future of NHS LIFT. David Colin-Thomé’s wealth and breadth of experience will enhance the GP Champions network we have created for LIFT."

"In addition, his experience of working with nurses and allied professionals with special interests will be of particular significance."

There are 42 LIFT schemes in total and 19 schemes have signed agreements with £250m already earmarked for the primary care estate.
