Architect Aedas has won the education category in this year's Manchester Society of Architects Design Awards. Its winning entry was St Peter's High School in Belle Vue, east Manchester. The design had to strike a balance between providing hard play areas, access and informal social areas. Aedas also received a conservation award for its redevelopment of a derelict warehouse in Castlefield, Manchester.
