Architect Purcell Miller Tritton has merged with Bristol-based firm Niall Phillips Architects.

The merger will increase Purcell’s workforce by 15 to 135 and will add a Bristol office to the 10 it already has across the UK. Niall Phillips will be integrated into the new company and renamed.

Mark Goldspink, chief executive of Purcell Miller Tritton, said: “We have been discussing extending our operation to the Bristol area with Niall Phillips and his team for just under two years so we’re delighted to have concluded our negotiations successfully.”

Niall Phillips Architects recently completed the £6.7m repair and upgrade of Wolverhampton Art Gallery, which included creating a new triangular extension.
