Franke has developed the Triflow tap, which delivers purified water to kitchens.
A ceramic filter removes chemicals, bacteria and particles as small as 0.2 microns. The purified water is delivered through a separate pipe to ensure no contamination the standard hot or cold flow.
The company says that even if the source is contaminated, the water will be safe to drink.
The tap is available in seven different models, from the modern Kubus to the more traditional Doric, Finishes available include chrome and silk-finish steel, nickel and gold.
