Contractor Skanska has started building the shell and core of this £60m transport interchange for Manchester Airport.
Intended for passengers arriving by train, light rail and coach, the scheme includes a transport hub building, check-in and baggage-handling facilities, a coach and bus station and an office block. Consultants for client Manchester Airport include architect Abbey Holford Rowe, structural engineer Mott MacDonald and cost consultant Citex. Skanska's consultants include architect Jefferson Sheard and engineer Scott Wilson.
