Steve Williams joins firm after 16 years at rival consultant
Ridge has appointed a new head of infrastructure with Steve Williams joining from Turner & Townsend.
Williams, who began his career as an environmental engineer, spent 16 years as director of programme and project management at T&T.
He is set to lead a team which will work across the water, aviation and transport sectors, as well as supporting Ridge’s defence team.

Williams will focus on programme and project management, advising clients on project controls and data management, as well as working on project readiness ahead of planning applications.
Ridge has been focused on growing its infrastructure capability since its acquisition of Adept Management last year.
Jolyon Price, partner, said: “As we continue to strengthen our infrastructure capability at Ridge, Steve is the perfect appointment to lead the team through our next stage of growth.
“His experience of supporting clients to deliver major infrastructure projects, his strength in leadership and his aspirations exactly match Ridge’s vision and ambition.”
Three years ago, London private equity firm Horizon Capital pumped more than £40m into Ridge to take a “significant” stake in the business. At the time, Ridge senior partner Adrian O’Hickey admitted: “This will enable investment in people and acquisitions.”
