Amec has sold its concrete business to specialist contractor Roger Bullivant in the latest stage of its construction business sell-off
Amec announced today that it has sold Buchan Concrete Solutions, including several contracts, to Roger Bullivant for an undisclosed sum. Buchan, which employs about 170 people, generated turnover of £29m in the year ended 31 December 2006.

Chief executive Samir Brikho said: “I am very pleased that we have found a strong purchaser who wants to further develop and invest in another of Amec’s non-core businesses. The successful disposal of these businesses is a key objective for 2007.”
Amec will provide an update on the sale of its construction businesses on 16 May.
