Building is 235m tall

A tower in Mexico City by Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners has been opened by the country’s president.

The 50-storey office block has been designed by RSHP and local firm Legorreta & Legorreta and will be occupied by Mexican finance group BBVA Bancomer.

The 235m high tower, which will hold 4,500 staff, is spread across 78,000sq m and has sky gardens which overlook a nearby park. Glass lifts facing the park will take visitors up to the sky lobby at level 12.

VIPs and executives get into the building via a separate lobby while an executive elevator gives access to the top floor executive floors and a heliport.

Sky gardens have been placed every nine floors with the sky lobby set to be used for public events and exhibitions.
