This is a first look at Aedas’ redesigned facade for its Holland Park School in west London

The project is expected to cost £72.6m, which will make it the most expensive comprehensive ever built in the UK. It has been opposed by local residents and heritage groups, who have called it “monolithic and relentless” but it is supported by Cabe. The school was granted planning permission on condition its facade was redesigned. It is due to be completed in 2012.
