David Chipperfield has presented amended designs for an art gallery in Margate, Kent.

The Turner Contemporary Building is now two floors rather than three, the roofline has been changed to reflect Margate’s architecture and white opaque glass has been chosen as cladding. Chipperfield said the building is designed to “capture the same unique light that inspired Turner”. The changes were made after a public consultation in June over the original designs.
