Scott Wilson opens Sydney office

International consultancy firm Scott Wilson has opened a new office in Sydney following a successful first year in Australia since opening its Brisbane office in September 2007.

The Sydney office will provide multi-disciplinary services to the ports and rail sectors.

The move follows Scott Wilson’s recent appointment as the Principle Maritime Designer for the largest container terminal expansion project in Australia while the rail operation established since the opening of the Brisbane branch, will provide opportunities for joint projects.

Alan Betts, a civil engineer with 25 years experience in delivering infrastructure for coastal development projects, has been appointed to manage and develop the new Sydney office.

He said: “This is a very exciting challenge and I look forward to establishing this area of business for Scott Wilson in Australia’s incredibly buoyant market.”
