Contract involves design and build of academic centre of excellence in Shrivenham, Wiltshire.

Services company Serco has been selected as preferred bidder for Ministry of Defence academic facilities worth £400m.

The Defence Academy Campus Integrator (DACI) contract includes the management and integration of the design and building of new premises in Shrivenham, Wiltshire. Serco is already managing the Joint Services Command and Staff College on the site, won as a PFI in 1998.

The purpose of the contract is to create an international academic centre of excellence for senior military and civilian personnel. The DACI partnership will be worth around £400m in revenue over 23 years and eight months. Serco will provide facilities management services across the 157 campus buildings and the 330 hectare estate.
