Portsmouth landmark ready for business - five years late and £10m over budget.

Developer Mowlem has finally handed over the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth – originally intended to be completed in time for the Millennium – to the city council.

The latest planned hand-over date, 6 October, was missed after problems with the external lift. The council said the fault had been resolved, and that the landmark building, which has run £10m over budget, would be opened next Tuesday.
