Sporting circles: Regent’s Park, London, is to get a circular sports pavilion designed by David Morley Architects, Building’s young architect of the year. The scheme will be the centrepiece of a £3.5m masterplan for the Royal Parks, which will rationalise the grade I-listed northern playing fields and introduce more meadowland.

The pavilion comprises a circular tearoom above a cluster of changing rooms partly set into the ground. Colvin and Moggridge is landscape architect, with Price & Myers as structural engineer, Max Fordham & Partners as services engineer and Currie & Brown Widnell as quantity surveyor.
