Housebuilder posts broadly flat results after “tough” year

Housebuilder Stewart Milne has posted broadly flat results after a “tough” year.

Profit at the contractor edged upwards from £140,000 to £406,000, while turnover fell from £250.9m to £239.4m.

Chairman and chief executive, Stewart Milne said:  “For a business of our strength and longevity, coping with recent market conditions has been about sticking to core values and maintaining the quality of product and service that is central to our business. 

“We are maintaining a strong performance and by continuing to focus on our customers and their needs, we will be well placed to sustain and improve that performance over the coming years.”
