Consultant flags start of global rebrand to Sweett Group

Consultant Cyril Sweett is to drop the “Cyril” name as part of a global re-brand that will see it renamed Sweett Group.

The announcement will be made on Monday to coincide with the publication of the group’s full year results, and will commence with the re-branding of the group’s two Australian subsidiaries to the new name.

Australian subsidiaries Padgham Sweett and BurnsBridge Sweett, bought in 2008 and 2010, will operate under the Sweett Group brand from 1 July 2011.

A statement from the firm today said that Sweett Group will be the “future global identity” of the group but did not say when the UK business will be re-branded.

The company was founded in London by Mr Cyril Sweett in 1928 and has been known by that name ever since, claiming to be the first firm to offer computerised bills of quantities in 1970.
