Glasgow council has unveiled a model of the bridge designed by Richard Rogers that will span the River Clyde from 2007.

The elliptical pedestrian and cycle bridge is suspended by a series of cables from a steel arch that curves 30 m above the river. The bridge is part of a £34.6m redevelopment project, which includes a public pontoon and quay wall. Construction is due to start early next year. Atkins is engineer on the project, Faithful & Gould is project and cost manager and lighting design is by Speirs and Major Associates.
