Architect Stanton Williams’ £10m redevelopment of the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry has gone on site.

The scheme includes a seven-storey extension for a 300-seat auditorium with flexible staging and seating on three levels. It will have a triple-height glazed main entrance and a terrace with views over the city. The team includes contractor ISG InteriorExterior, project manager Buro Four, QS Davis Langdon, structural engineer Flint and Neill Partnership, services engineer Rybka Battle and theatre consultants Theatreplan and Arup Acoustics.
