Building’s Gloomwatch panel rates their mood on a scale of 0-10, with 10 being the most unhappy

The average is the Grimdex forecast.

Steven Barker, Gloomwatch member and senior partner at QS Robinson Low Francis, said: “I’m becoming more cautiously optimistic as the weeks go by. Of course we need to remain vigilant on all fronts but, come on, let’s start talking things up rather than slashing our wrists!”

That said, the Grimdex rating of 6 has not changed since September.
