Overseas Human Resources, a recruitment agency that specialises in bringing in immigrant workers, has flown in its first construction tradesman from Romania. Carpenter Ioja Mirt (left) arrived at Heathrow airport last Wednesday. He will work with a north London contractor. Mirt was greeted by OHR directors Yigal Rosenberg (right) and David Pearson. Dan Ghilbernea, the Romania ambassador to England, also came to the airport to speak to Mirt. OHR said in March that it had reached agreement in principle with the Home Office to bring in skilled workers from Romania. The company says it could bring in up to 3000 this year.
