The largest architectural awards programme is open to buildings completed between 1 January 2007 and 20 June 2008

The World Architecture Festival is the annual event for architects worldwide that celebrates the work, concerns and aspirations of the international architectural community, during a three-day event taking place in Barcelona.

The festival will reflect the increasingly international nature of architecture, while also celebrating its regional roots. It will be possible, through the exhibition of awards entries, to compare and contrast different approaches to the design of 96 building types in the 16 categories.

The World Architecture Festival Awards

The largest architectural awards programme in the world is open to buildings completed between 1 January 2007 and 20 June 2008.

With 16 categories covering 96 building types, the awards programme is designed to showcase your latest completed buildings, big or small, from anywhere in the world. From ambulance stations to universities, private houses to shopping centres, there is a specific building type for your entry, meaning all your projects are judged against similar buildings and stand an excellent chance of being shortlisted.

The jury is headed by Lord Norman Foster and includes Stefan Behnisch, Robert Stern and Zaha Hadid among the 40 respected international architects on the panel. These architects will be joined by critics from leading architectural publications worldwide. This will be the first time that the world’s finest architects and media have come together in this way.
