Skanska UK has slimmed down its management board from 10 to seven to create a tighter-knit team.
Operations directors Jim Kirkwood, Dave Shadwell and Alan Tweddle have all left the board.

Tweddle will act as a consultant for the company for a short period, Kirkwood is leaving and Shadwell has moved to a more junior role running the UK building operation.

Reporting to chief executive David Fison will be six executive vice-presidents, including finance director John Keehan, construction director Peter Coote and PFI & technology director Simon Hipperson. The remaining vice-presidents are all members of the existing board.

Fison said: "While we have gone a long way to achieve our strategy already, we need to take further steps to reflect this in our structure and to do this in a cost efficient way with lower overheads."
