Developer Land Securities has picked three architects to work together on the £80m mixed-use Princesshay scheme in Exeter city centre.
Wilkinson Eyre Architects, Chapman Taylor Partners and Panter Hudspith Partners will collaborate on a new masterplan. The trio's appointment follows consultation between Land Securities, Exeter council and English Heritage.

Land Securities' development director Michael McGuinness said the three contrasting practices had been chosen for their experience of working in historic cities.

The developer hopes to introduce a varied architectural approach that would respect and enhance the urban fabric of the city.

He said: "The evolution of a revised masterplan and the appointment of new architects will enable us to take a completely fresh view."
