Consultant says growth comes from all sectors

The UK consulting arm of Arcadis saw profit and turnover jump last year, according to accounts now filed at Companies House.

Revenue at Arcadis Consulting (UK) was up 6% to £477m with pre-tax profit climbing 13% to £55m.

In a note accompanying the accounts, the firm said: “The company experienced continued growth in revenue across all sectors, driven by increased client demand.

“Resilience within the business strengthened further as clients responded to the urgency of meeting net-zero targets and adapting to new environmental, social, and governance policies and regulations.”

The bulk of the firm’s turnover came from the UK with an income of £440m with a further £13m coming from Europe and the remainder from the rest of the world.

In interim group accounts filed in July, Dutch firm Arcadis, which is listed on the Euronext exchange and led by UK boss, Alan Brookes, said revenue in the six months to June was flat at €2.5bn (£2,2bn) with group earnings before interest, tax and amortisation also flat at €269m (£233m).
