Knight Architects triumphs in Drammen contest

Knight Architects has won a competition to design a new bridge in the Norwegian port city of Drammen.

The firm has linked up with local practice SAAHA for the bridge which will be used by both cars and pedestrians.

Local firm Degree of Freedom is engineer on the scheme along with another Norwegian firm, landscape designer Asplan Viak.

The bridge crosses the river Drammenselva and is expected to cost more than £50m to build. Work is set to be completed by 2025.
