Regeneration specialists prepare to make redundancies as flow of projects dry up

Urban Splash is making a number redundancies due to a drop in workload.

It is understood cuts will affect the team that recently completed the conversion of Imperial Tobacco’s Bristol HQ into the Lakeshore residential development, as the regeneration specialist is unable to move it to work on new projects.

It is not known how many jobs will be lost.

The news comes a fortnight after it emerged two of Urban Splash’s senior directors - deputy chief executive Nick Johnson and the director who ran its construction arm Guy Jackson – had left the business.

Urban Splash said: “It has been a fantastic and challenging journey since we established Urban Splash nearly two decades ago. The most recent years have been a learning curve for all of us.”
