Business secretary joins Lord Deighton, construction minister Michael Fallon and Sir David Higgins as speaker at July event

Business secretary Vince Cable, infrastructure minister Lord Deighton and HS2 boss Sir David Higgins will be among the key figures to address the industry at this year’s Government Construction Summit.

The summit takes place on 2 July in London and is organised by Building in partnership with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Cabinet Office and Infrastructure UK. This will be the third time the annual event has been held.

The summit will focus on progress on the industrial strategy for construction, Construction 2025, which was launched at last year’s event. It will also examine supply chain issues, skills and delivery of infrastructure and the green agenda.

Other high profile speakers at the event include construction minister Michael Fallon, chief construction adviser Peter Hansford, and Costain chief executive Andrew Wyllie.
