Architect Foster + Partners has won a competition to redevelop Seattle’s Civic Square – the final stage of a 10-year masterplan for the city.

At the heart of the scheme is a large public plaza, flanked by a 400ft tower. The winning team is made up of Triad Development, Foster + Partners, Arup, Piers Heath Associates and Atelier Dreiseitl, with Ingenieurgruppe Bauen as structural engineer and Jaeger, Mornhinweg and Partner as services engineer.
