Alsop Architects this week unveiled a masterplan to redevelop Bradford's city centre. Under the plan, prepared for urban regeneration company Bradford Centre Regeneration, the city is to get its own waterfront, with a park to be created around a lake in front of City Hall. The Alsop plan to reintroduce water to the city centre is intended to inspire residential development in the Canal Road area. The city centre will also be split into four neighbourhoods called the Bowl, the Channel, the Market and the Valley. A full consultation of the city's residents will begin next week.
