White Young Green has turned its sights overseas after making two acquisitions in the UK.
The multidisciplinary practice, which is based in Leeds, this week announced that it had bought Barr McCormick, a Belfast-based civil and structural engineer, and Manchester town planner MVM Planning.

Chief executive Richard Brayson said he now wants to grow the group's international business.

He said: "Most of our turnover is UK- and Ireland-based so going offshore would be a natural step for us." Brayson said Greece and Poland were two options.

The firm paid £1.15m and 484,000 shares for Barr McCormick and £1.13m and 499,491 shares for MVM.
