Managing director of Wolseley’s UK arm moves upstairs to become senior vice president at Wolseley plc

The managing director of Wolseley’s UK business has left to take on a new role as senior vice president at the groups FTSE 100 parent company Wolseley plc.

Adrian Barden will be replaced by Nigel Sibley who joined the building materials company in 2005 and is currently a UK board member and brand development director. He will take on his new role on 1 October and will lead the UK operating business which has 1,800 branches across the country.

Rob Marchbank, CEO Europe, said: “Nigel has an excellent track record in delivering acquisitions and business growth, and is well placed to take the UK business forward, as well as having an increasing involvement with the leadership and direction of the European management team."
