Architect on scheme is TP Bennett

TP Bennett has drawn up plans for the latest Premier Inn being planned by the budget hotel chain’s owner Whitbread.

The plans will see a former office building in Bath turned into a 152-bedroom hotel running across 68,000sq ft.

The 1960s-built Beazer House will be demolished and replaced with a six-storey block which will be the second Premier Inn in the city.

How the new Premier Inn will look

In planning documents lodged with Bath and North East Somerset council last year, Beazer House was described as being “subjectively considered one of Bath’s least attractive buildings”.

Whitbread said work on the new scheme will start early next year after the firm signed a lease for the hotel.

Others working on the deal include M&E consultant Hoare Lea, project manager Faction, structural engineer Price & Myers and QS 100 Acre.
