Incident happened on site in Brent last weekend

Mace has confirmed that a worker has died on one of its sites in London.

The firm declined to name the job but confirmed it was in north-west London. It is believed to be a data centre scheme in Brent Cross.

In a statement, the firm said: “Following an incident on Saturday 23 August, a contractor’s employee working on a Mace site in Brent was fatally injured.

The HSE has begun an investigation into last Saturday’s incident

“We share our deepest sympathies with their family, friends and colleagues.

“We are supporting the emergency services and Health and Safety Executive with their investigations.”
