Legoland Windsor and Skanska touch the sky with 30m tall plastic tower

A new record has been set for the world’s tallest Lego brick tower at Legoland Windsor.

The 29.26m tall tower shattered the previous record of 29.03m, set in Toronto in August last year.

Visitors to the Windsor theme park created their own unique sections of the tower on a table which were then hoisted up by a crane and added to the tower. The crane was provided by park sponsor Skanska. Nearly 500,000 Lego bricks were used.

The event was organised to mark the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Lego brick.
