WSP has bought London healthcare and life sciences specialist Lexica for an undisclosed sum.

The firm was set up in 2014 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

It specialises in healthcare strategy and planning, property consultancy, cost management, project & programme management as well as life sciences strategy, digital advisory and transformation and net zero advisory services.

WSP said Lexica would be part of its healthcare advisory business

The firm employs around 90 people and will be part of WSP’s planning, property and advisory business, forming a new healthcare and life sciences advisory discipline.

Paul Reilly, president and managing director, WSP in the UK and Ireland, said: “The acquisition of Lexica adds significant strength to our expanding UK advisory business. By combining deep sector expertise with a client-first mindset, we are scaling our capabilities to deliver smarter, more integrated solutions.”

In its last set of accounts filed at Companies House, Lexica improved turnover 10% to £14.8m in the year to March 2024 with pre-tax profit falling 19% to £1.3m.
