Move sees Andy Temple take on role held for past eight years by engineer best-known for work on 22 Bishopsgate
WSP has appointed Andy Temple as executive managing director for its Property and Buildings business in the UK & Ireland taking over from Kamran Moazami.
Temple was previously senior operation director at the business and his switch comes after Moazami was given a new role as executive design principal.
Moazami, who has been eight years in the post, has worked on some of the capital’s best-known buildings including the Shard, built by Mace, and 22 Bishopsgate and One Blackfriars, both of which were built by Multiplex.
Iranian-born Moazami has been at WSP since the mid-1980s and has worked for WSP in the UK since the late 1990s.
In a statement, WSP said: “His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening WSP’s capabilities and delivering high-profile, complex projects across the UK and internationally.”
Paul Reilly, president and managing director for WSP UK & Ireland, said: “Kamran has done a fantastic job building our world-renowned Property and Buildings team. As an already accomplished leader, I am confident Andy will build on [his] strong foundations.”
