WYG is QS and project manager on Surrey school refurb

Consultant WYG Management Services is QS, project manager and CDM coordinator on the second phase of a £2m refurbishment project at a school in Walton on Thames.

Design, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, has been completed for Ashley Church of England Primary School.

Dave Corbin, WYG regional director, said: “We are committed to helping the school in its long term objectives and fully support the ethos of the governing body and school management.”

He said the firm is working on for the creation of the new build classrooms, internal refurbishments and an extension to the existing assembly hall and gym to create a two form entry school.

Construction work is due to start in the summer on the kitchen, hall and one of the classrooms blocks. The overall project should be completed by summer 2011.
