Just one year on from the company's purchase of a new machinery package from Elumatec, Poole based window, door and conservatory fabricator Window Elegance has increased its output capacity from around 100-150 units per week to 300 units per week. The company's rapid development during the last year has also promoted a move into an additional unit to accommodate further growth, bringing the company's total production area to 7,500ft2.
Established in 1993, Window Elegance has become a leading trade fabricator and installer in Dorset and Hampshire, offering its customers a wide range of products including glazed sealed units, decorative glass products and PVC-U soffits and fascias as well as PVC-U windows, doors and conservatories.

As Window Elegance expanded and its product portfolio diversified, its older factory equipment – some of which was 20 years old – became more and more inadequate for its needs, and Production Manager Mike Ford felt that the company should look to invest in new machinery as a priority. After reviewing three potential suppliers, Window Elegance decided on Elumatec as the best choice. Says Mike Ford: 'Elumatec machinery is top notch, and we found that, considering the high quality of the machines we chose, we were getting far better value for money from them than from others.'

The company now owns a wide variety of Elumatec machinery, including a DG142 double mitre saw with E550 electronics, three head DS703 THV turret welder and SE-4AS/TC corner transom cleaner, plus a V-notch saw with digital measuring system, two bead saws and a water slot router.

Mike Ford was astonished at how quickly the installation of the new machinery made a significant difference to production speed and efficiency: 'Everything went very smoothloy and we received training from Elumatec, which helped the change-over to go without too much disruption.'
