A little slime and seagull droppings won’t deter these foolhardy painters

Chris Elliott sent this picture of a pair of painters working opposite his office.
He explains: “The front paving and steps are in the shade and so always green and slippery – and as seagulls usually reside on the roof and ledge God knows what conditions are like up there!

“He spent best part of three hours teetering 6m up on that ledge, but he’s only one of many we see going up there regularly to clear guttering, nests, jetwashing etc all doing balancing acts and not once has any used any kind of safety equipment. They just turn up with a ladder and get on with it, whatever it takes!”
