The Security excellence awards 2002 – held on Tuesday 12 November in The Ballroom of London's celebrated Grosvenor House Hotel – have been hailed "an outstanding event" by the private sector's major professionals.

Run by Security Management Today and sister Builder Group Ltd title Security Installer, the Awards' fourth annual outing – this time themed around the James Bond genre – has galvanised the industry as never before, promoting the very best companies, practitioners and systems innovators alike.

"A highly successful evening," commented consultant Ian Johnson. "It was evident that most people now regard the Awards as the premier event in the calendar."

For those of you who couldn't get hold of a ticket to this sold-out occasion, SMT will be publishing an extended feature in January's edition detailing all of the winners.
