I found your feature on shared ownership (27 February, page 34) very useful and informative. But there are important distinctions to make. In addition to the conventional shared ownership you describe, there are fixed shared equity (no staircasing permitted) and restricted shared ownership (staircasing limited, usually to 80%) models.

Your article encourages more RSLs to engage in conventional shared ownership but my own research concluded that the other two shared ownership models were better value for money and remained available and relatively more affordable than conventional shared ownership.
