Shepherd’s m&e facilities division take on 31 Yell buildings

Shepherd FM has been awarded a contract from Yell to deliver facilities management services at its network of UK offices, including its head office in Reading, Berkshire.

Shepherd FM will be responsible for services at 31 buildings ranging from the management and maintenance of critical systems, to building maintenance and soft FM services.

Yell’s property portfolio has an array of environments including traditional office space through to critical working locations such as call centres. Yell is part of Yell Group, a directories business operating in the classified advertising market through printed, online and phone-based media in the UK, US, Spain and Latin America.

The Shepherd FM team won the contract by being able to demonstrate significant expertise in delivering services to critical environments, as well as a very strong understanding of the detail of the required service provision.

“We’ve recently gone through a wide-scale rationalisation of our property portfolio at Yell and after a thorough evaluation of our current requirements, it was clear that Shepherd FM has the expertise that we need to complement our in-house team. Shepherd FM exhibits a similar culture of enthusiasm and commitment,” said Simon Taylor, head of property at Yell in the UK.

“The award of this new contract is testament to the value we believe customers place on excellent service, even during difficult economic times,’ commented Noel Clancy, MD of Shepherd FM. “Our customer service ethos along with our technical capability means that we are uniquely positioned to support the Yell property team, especially as they plan the relocation to a new head quarters building next year.”
