Shepherd Engineering Services (SES) has recently completed the third of seven new units at the £47 million mental health services project in Leeds.
The two and three storey Newsam Centre development includes installation of building services in over 500 individual areas. The project includes 200 private rooms with bathrooms, 30 shared bathrooms, four laundry areas as well as numerous communal areas. There are also workshops, consulting rooms, restuarant, kitchens and eating areas.

SES was commissioned in June 2000 to deliver the £9 million design and installation building services contract to all the new units. SES invested two years in design planning and value engineering. Services installed include air conditioning, standby generator with automatic change over, fire alarm and vandal resistant lighting.
