Reports in the National Press and on Tomorrow's World have created a big interest in the Inferno Mini, a product that makes intruders feel nauseous.
The product from Corporate Security Services & Consultants uses a combination of soundwaves to generate "an unbearable sound without causing any personal damage to the intruder." It makes it "impossible to localise the sound source and stay in the protected area". Reports in the national press spoke of intruders leaving quickly and the TV programme proved it was impossible to stay in the protected area. In light of ACPO 2000, installers have been looking for products that stop the intruder in his tracks.

The product, developed in Sweden, is about a metre in length and resembles a heater. It is said to be easy to install and can be linked to an alarm system. For more information circle 107 on the enclosed reader service card.
