Farsight welcomed North West Cambridgeshire MP Sir Brian Mawhinney to its state-of-the-art monitoring centre in Peterborough.
As well as a tour of the 10,000 sq ft site Sir Brian, a former Conservative Party chairman, saw a live demonstration of e-surveillance, which replaces traditional ISDN-based security with internet technology.

Farsight has joined forces with other business leaders from Peterborough's Eastern Industry Estate in a Neighbourhood Watch-style project. The Eastern Industry Initiative is hoping to use e-surveillance to stamp out commercial crime on the estate.

Managing director Carol Booth commented: "The visit was an indication of the level of interest we are receiving in e-surveillance, particularly from public sector bodies. The future will be even more exciting, with trials of e-surveillance already progressing in schools in the USA."

Farsight has won numerous awards, including ISO 9002 accreditation just four months after it was established. All processes are continuously quality controlled.
