PI vision is celebrating “one of the largest digital recording installations ever” at the Treasure Island Resort and Casino.
Managing director David Myers announced that the Surbiton-based company’s fully scalable, networked digital recorder, 2nd Eyes Enterprise, is being installed at the recently-expanded attraction in Minnesota, USA, with a completion date of July.

The scheme will be able to record from 1600 cameras, each capable of its own recording profile. The storage requirement is 63000 Tbytes, using RAID level 5 technology, allowing instant access to all recorded data.

In high security sites such as Treasure Island, the ability to access high resolution recorded data instantaneously while still recording is vital, enabling the user to review all incidents simply at the click of a mouse.

Vital statistics of the $2.4 million contract include: 24 racks, five tons in weight, 38 servers, 105 2nd Eyes recorders, 29 kW power consumption and 98,000 BTU hour heat output.
