Gareth Vaughan has been elected as the new president of the HVCA.

Vaughan succeeded to the presidency of the association at its recent annual general meeting. In his acceptance speech, Vaughan welcomed in the age of the engineer, urging members to take encouragement from the growing demand for low-carbon technologies and renewable energies in today’s built environment.

“This is contributing hugely to our status as highly qualified professionals, capable of original thinking and genuine innovation,” said Vaughan.

Vaughan is managing director of ductwork specialist E Poppleton & Son, based in Colwyn Bay, north Wales.
